Pipe Tracking & Locating
Pipe Tracking and Locating
Electronic Pipe Tracing
If you are not exactly sure where your below ground drains are or the actual direction to which they head, then we have a solution for you.
Using our state-of-the-art Pipe Locating and Tracking Equipment, we place an electronic transmitter that is attached to a cable line and insert it into your sewer or storm water drain at a convenient point, and push it through the line.
The electronic transmitter passes through the pipe system and the location in the sewer pipe is tracked above ground level via an electronic locating device.
The ground is then marked at various intervals or rather mapped out. We are also able to determine the depth of the pipe from the reading obtained.
Combining this with a CCTV Drain Camera we can see what is going on inside your pipe by utilising this method. We can know how deep the pipe is and
where it will need to be dug up if a repair is necessary. This locating method can be utilised to allow you to find any existing lines to connect into if needed
or can be used to avoid any damage from other site operations.
Pipe Tracking and Locating offers many benefits. Here are just a few:
- Saves time and money and effort
- Eliminates the need to unnecessarily damage lawns, trees and pavements
- Allows to only replace a small section of pipe if a repair is needed
- Available to residential and commercial customers
Why Is Pipe Locating Important?
When using the pipe tracking equipment we are able to identify (in most cases) the exact location of where to dig, in order to eliminate the need for any unnecessary digging.
With the use of a CCTV Drain Survey, we have the ability to pin-point the location of the damaged pipe particularly on very long sections of drainage runs. This not only saves digging up your lovely lawns and garden area, but most importantly it saves time and money.
So there really isn’t much guess work. With the use of our Pipe Locating Equipment, we know exactly where to dig. If there is a problem and we don’t know which way your drains run – especially if there are no property sewer plans available – then our Pipe Locating and Tracking solution is your answer!
We provide this service for both residential and commercial customers.

If уоu need to know where уоur drаіnѕ run to, or perhaps you need to identify the location of a broken or collapsed pipe, then а CCTV Drain Survey соuld bе јuѕt whаt уоu nееd.
During the earlier years of offering blocked drain solutions, it was much more difficult to find the actual cause of drain problems, not to mention it was also much more costly due to the fact that plumbers had to dig up the sewer or storm water system to determine exactly where the drainage repair needed to take place. Today, problem areas within the drainage system can be found rather quickly using up to date specialised plumbing technology. These days, Electronic Pipe Tracking and Locating Equipment is used to determine where the drains run as well as locate issues fast and accurately, therefore making it much more cost effective with minimal fuss.
One example why Electronic Pipe Tracking Equipment would be used below ground, is to locate broken or collapsed pipes which may have been picked up using the CCTV Drain Survey.
